Virel Sculpted Solid Wood Console Table

Design & Style

The Virel Console Table is conceived as a sculptural volume shaped by subtraction rather than ornament. Its form emerges from a continuous mass of solid wood, carved to reveal soft internal voids that introduce lightness, rhythm, and spatial depth. The contrast between solid structure and open negative space gives Virel a quiet architectural presence—grounded, yet visually fluid.

Rooted in an Organic Modern sensibility, the design favors curvature over angles and continuity over segmentation. There is no clear distinction between base and top; instead, the piece reads as a single, flowing gesture. Virel does not decorate the wall it rests against—it completes it, functioning as a spatial anchor that feels integral to the architecture.

Material & Craftsmanship

Virel is handcrafted entirely from solid hardwood, selected for expressive grain movement and natural tonal variation. The console is sculpted and refined by hand, allowing the wood’s organic character to guide the final form rather than forcing symmetry or uniformity.

Each surface is hand-sanded and finished to enhance depth, warmth, and tactile quality. No veneers, no engineered wood, and no composite materials are used. Every Virel Console Table is a one-of-a-kind piece, defined by the inherent individuality of solid wood and the precision of handcraft.
